Cunningham impressive as Antrim overcome Cavan
Cavan 1-8 Antrim 2-13
NFL DIVISION 3
Paddy Cunningham helped himself to eight points as Antrim came away from Kingspan Breffni Park with the two league points.
Cunningham was the game's most impressive forward, but Cavan were well in the hunt having levelled at 1-6 apiece for half-time.
There was an even opening to this Division 3 Ulster derby before Tomas McCann broke through for the Saffrons' first goal.
Antrim goalkeeper John Finucane could do little as Cavan's Raymond Galligan punched home his side's only goal.
But the second half saw Liam Bradley's Antrim side kick some impressive scores, none more so than Cunningham.
And the icing on the cake for the visitors was a second goal, scored by Michael Magill, with less than 10 minutes to go.
