Former Hurler of the Year Dan Shanahan of Waterford has hit out at the GAA’s decision to force all hurlers to wear helmets.

Speaking at the launch of a sponsorship deal between telecommunications company 3 and Waterford GAA, Shanahan said: "I’m not a big fan of it (the helmet) at the moment.
