Tullamore qualify for first Leinster final
Tullamore 1-12 Clonkill 1-9
Tullamore qualified for their first ever AIB Leinster Club SHC decider in a fortnight's time, courtesy of a hard-earned three-point win over Clonkill at Cusack Park today.
In an extremely tight encounter, Tullamore led by 1-5 to 0-7 at half-time with Francis Kerrigan netting a 20th minute goal.
Clonkill's Brendan Murtagh proved to be a constant threat to the Offaly champions throughout this game, and built on his first half tally of three points with a well-taken goal in the final quarter.
But Tullamore held plenty of aces with Kerrigan giving a strong display and Offaly county star Shane Dooley, son of Faithfuls manager Joe, top-scored with eight points.
