Tipperary senior hurling manager Liam Sheedy has added four new players to his squad ahead of the 2010 season.

The 2009 All-Ireland finalists will begin the new campaign in January with a Waterford Crystal Cup quarter-final clash with either Clare of Waterford IT.

The squad newcomers include former All-Ireland minor winners, John O'Neill from Clonoulty-Rossmore and Eire Og's Mikey Heffernan.

Toomevara's David Young will add to the defensive options, while Upperchurch-Drombane clubman Jody Brennan will be hoping to break into the starting forwards.

Meanwhile, Tipperary's Munster rivals Waterford have added Pat Bennett and Paraic Fanning to manager Davy Fitzgerald's backroom team.

With Peter Queally and Maurice Geary stepping down as selectors, Bennett from the Ballysaggart club and Mount Sion's Fanning have taken on the positions for the Deise.

A new team trainer is still to be appointed after Jerry Fitzpatrick ended his involvement with the Waterford panel.

Fitzgerald's third season in charge of his adopted county will begin with a Waterford Crystal Cup opener against Cork IT in the New Year.
