McDermott takes on Clare football role

At a meeting of the Clare County Board last night in Ennis, Micheal McDermott was appointed as the new manager of the Clare senior footballers.

McDermott, who has won back-to-back county SFC titles with Kilmurry-Ibrickane, is replacing Frank Doherty who resigned after the All-Ireland second round qualifier defeat to Donegal in July.
