Portlaoise set for triple bill as GAA announces fixtures

O'Moore Park in Portlaoise is set for a triple header of GAA Championship games including the plum All-Ireland SFC fourth round qualifier tie involving Wicklow and Kildare, after the GAA announced details of next weekend's fixtures.

The Garden County fairytale could continue at the midlands venue on Saturday as Wicklow manager Mick O'Dwyer faces his old charges, Kildare, in a 7pm clash which will be broadcast live on TV3.

That game will be preceded by the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship relegation play-off between Clare and Wexford at 5pm.

The bill gets underway at 3pm in Portlaoise with the ESB All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship quarter-final between Wexford and Tipperary.

Elsewhere, Saturday is certainly a bumper day of GAA action across the country.

The first of the SFC fourth round qualifiers is at 5pm at Markievicz Park in Sligo, as beaten Connacht finalists Galway take on a resurgent Donegal side.

Meanwhile, the last of the third round qualifiers will get underway at 7pm at Navan's Pairc Tailteann where Meath host Roscommon.

In hurling, the Antrim v Offaly relegation play-off takes centre stage at Parnell Park (throw-in 3pm) and will be preceded by the ESB All-Ireland MHC quarter-final between Antrim and Galway at 1.15pm.

On Sunday afternoon, there are three games down for decision.

Semple Stadium in Thurles will play host to the two All-Ireland SHC quarter-finals. Dublin will clash with Limerick at 2pm, followed by Waterford v Galway at 4pm. Both games will be live on RTE Two.

Meanwhile, the meeting of beaten Ulster finalists Antrim and last year's All-Ireland runners-up Kerry in the fourth round of the football qualifiers has been set for O'Connor Park in Tullamore (throw-in 3pm).
