Dublin make three changes for semi-final

Dublin manager Pat Gilroy has made three changes to his side for this Sunday's Leinster SFC semi-final against Westmeath at Croke Park.

There is one change in defence and two in attack as Gilroy welcomes back Rory O'Carroll, Dermot Connolly and Jason Sherlock to his starting 15.

Kilmacud Crokes clubman Rory O'Carroll replaces Alan Hubbard at corner-back, while O'Carroll's fellow clubman Mark Davoren is still nursing a cruciate injury, picked up in the quarter-final winagainst Meath.

Davoren is ruled out for six to eight months, and will undergo surgery in the next fortnight.

He is replaced by Jason Sherlock in attack, with Bernard Brogan moving to full-forward and Sherlock in the left-corner.

The other change to the Dublin attack sees Dermot Connolly come into the half-forward line instead of Paddy Andrews.

Meanwhile there is good news for Mark Vaughan who is back on the road to recovery following injury. The 'blond bombshell' recently lined out for Kilmacud Crokes in a club game.

However Pat Gilroy's squad have picked up a number of other injuries in recent weeks.

St Oliver Plunkett's clubman James Brogan suffered a broken ankle in a recent club game, while Hugh Gill injured his fibula in a recent training session.

Kevin Nolan (hip), Eamon Fennell (bruised foot) and Cian O'Sullivan (hamstring) are also nursing injuries, but have played a part in training this week.

DUBLIN (SF v Westmeath): S Cluxton; D Henry, D Bastick, Rory O'Carroll; P Griffin, G Brennan, B Cahill; R McConnell, D Magee; P Flynn, Alan Brogan, D Connolly; C Keaney, B Brogan, J Sherlock.
