Armagh 2-8 Tyrone 1-9

All-Ireland minor champions Tyrone crashed out of the 2009 Championship after a determined performance by Armagh earned the Orchard county a two-point victory and a place in the Ulster MFC semi-final at St Tiernach's Park, Clones.

It was a two-goal salvo from Robbie Tasker that helped book a place in Ulster's last-four for Armagh, with both of Tasker's three-pointers coming from the penalty spot.

The goal-scorer supreme certainly took Tyrone to task early on and slotted home his first goal in the 11th minute following a foul by Thomas Canavan on Conor King.

Tasker's goal helped Armagh to a 1-3 to 0-3 half-time cushion, but Tyrone bounced back on the restart.

A dipping Shane McGuigan shot arced its way past Niall Morgan for the Red Hands' goal but when King was dragged down by Shane McGarrity - Tasker once again slotted home a penalty kick.

Raymond Munroe's side ran out of steam as good scores from Eugene McVerry and Gavin McPartland sealed victory.
