Cork hurlers suffer injury blow

Cork have suffered a double blow for their Munster Hurling championship opener against Tipperary on Sunday week as defender Chris Murphy and Kevin Hartnett have been ruled out.

Murphy was withdrawn after he broke his chin bone in Cork’s last league game against Waterford, after which he suffered from a bout of vertigo.

He is also doing exams and will not be available until later in the summer.

Kevin Hartnett broke a finger in last Saturday night’s challenge against Limerick.
