Wexford 0-16 Fermanagh 2-10

Wexford and Fermanagh played out a low key draw in this 'dead rubber' NFL Division 2 fixture at Wexford Park this afternoon.

With both sides already consigned to relegation, there was little but pride to play for in what was a repeat of last year's Division 3 final.

Fermanagh led by 1-6 to 0-6 at half-time, courtesy of a fifth-minute goal from Ryan Carson which Daryl Keenan set up.

The home side, who had five newcomers on board from the start, recovered well on the resumption.

Wexford's improved play saw them hit eight points without reply to move into the lead, with Shane Roche, Ciaran Lyng and PJ Banville particularly prominent.

But Keenan fired home a 67th-minute penalty to seal a draw and a share of the spoils for the hard-working Ernesiders.
