Eamon McEnaney’s charges were in fine form with the only goal of this game arriving before the interval as JP Rooney slotted into the net to ensure a 1-05 to 0-05 half-time lead.

Limerick were held to a single point on the restart with the likes of Rooney and Shane Lennon impressing to ensure a well deserved win.
