Shock win for UL over Limerick

Limerick 0-16 UL 2-14, Claughaun

A late scoring burst which yielded 1-06 gave the University of Limerick a shock win over Limerick at Claughaun.

New Limerick manager Justin McCarthy watched his side falter after they had led 0-10 to 1-06 at half-time.

John Greene (1-02) goaled for UL after 23 minutes and free-taker Brian Carroll kept them in touch.

When top-scorer Niall Moran (0-07) and David Breen (0-03) pointed on the restart, Limerick looked in a good position but UL's late rally produced a crucial goal from substitute David Burke.
