Dublin too good for Offaly in O'Byrne Cup

Richie Connor's debut outing as Offaly manager finished in defeat as an understrength Dublin side won out at Tullamore.

With the senior players away in La Manga, a youthful Dublin outfit led 0-10 to 0-03 by the 32nd minute however a Thomas Deehan goal cut the gap to five points at the break.

John O'Brien (0-05), Derek Byrne (0-03) and Aidan Relihan (0-03) were all impressive in the Dublin attack in a game which also saw good performances from Offaly's Deehan, Rory Guinan and Cathal Carroll.
