Mayo unchanged for minor football final
Mayo manager Ray Dempsey has stuck with the team that beat Kerry last time out for Sunday's ESB Football All-Ireland Minor final against Tyrone at Croke Park (throw-in 1.30pm).
Most importantly for the Connacht champions, their play-making centre-forward Aidan O'Shea has evidently recovered from a hand injury to retain his place in the side.
He broke bone in his hand during the 10-point semi-final replay win over Kerry but the Breaffy youngster is expected to be fit for this weekend's decider.
Team captain Shane Nally has shaken off a leg injury to start, while corner backs John Carney have also overcome minor knocks.
Hoping to guide Mayo to their first minor title since 1985, Dempsey told the Mayo News: "We want to be the top team in Ireland in 2008. Both teams have won the right to be second, and it's still only a game of football. That's all.
"It's important that we picture that and visualise that it's a game of football. It's Croke Park, alright, there's stands and stuff around the place, and maybe a few more at it than normal.
"But it's still only about a Mayo man marking a Tyrone man and competing for the ball. And if we can get that simplicity into our game, we'll see where that brings us."
