Nenagh notch All-Ireland hurling sevens title

GAA President Nickey Brennan was on hand to present the Eire Og players with their trophies, while Portroe goalkeeper Darren Gleeson has some consolation by being named the Player of the Tournament.

Tipperary may not have made either the minor or senior All-Ireland hurling finals but Nenagh Eire Og ensured there was some Tipp success on finals weekend by securing the Meteor Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland Sevens title yesterday.

The north Tipperary outfit won the Sevens Senior Cup final for the first time since 1996, beating their neighbouring rivals Portroe by 3-20 to 4-10 in the final.
