Lack of club support leads to McIver's resignation

Brian McIver surprisingly quit his role as Donegal senior football manager last night, after it emerged that a number of the county's clubs want a new man in charge.

Just three weeks ago McIver informed the Donegal Co Board that he was content to stay on as manager of the Tir Chonaill side for another year.
