McConnell named in Dublin team
Ross McConnell has regained his starting place in the Dublin team for Saturday's GAA Football All-Ireland senior championship quarter-final clash with Tyrone at Croke Park, throw-in 4pm.
The St Oliver Plunkett's/Eoghan Ruadh clubman has been named at full-back with Kevin Nolan losing out and Colin Moran moving out to wing-back.
McConnell was dropped for the Dubs' Leinster final win over Wexford but comes back in as Nolan disappointed in that match and was substituted after just 20 minutes.
Kevin Bonner has retained his place at wing-forward despite Bernard Brogan's evident recovery from a hamstring injury.
Paul Caffrey's Dublin side are hoping to join Cork, Kerry and Wexford in the All-Ireland semi-finals.
The Dubs last met Tyrone in the championship in 2005 when the Red Hands won an All-Ireland quarter-final tie in a replay.
Current captain Alan Brogan is Dublin's top scorer so far in this year's championship with 2-11, while Tomas Quinn (0-14), C Keaney (0-11) and Diarmuid Connolly (1-05) have also have solid scoring contributions.
The winners of Saturday's game will face Wexford in a GAA All-Ireland SFC semi-final at Croke Park on August 31.
