Armagh forward Oisín McConville has confirmed his retirement from inter-county football following the county's surprise All-Ireland quarter-final defeat to Wexford at the weekend.

Armagh forward Oisín McConville has confirmed his retirement from inter-county football following the county's surprise All-Ireland quarter-final defeat to Wexford at the weekend.

The 35-year-old played a limited role for the Orchard County this year, making his only appearance as a second-half substitute against Fermanagh in the drawn Ulster final.

McConville won one All-Ireland and seven Ulster titles with Armagh and also picked up two All-Star awards in 2000 and 2002.
