Down boss Carr to patrol sideline
Down manager Ross Carr will patrol the sideline at Healy this afternoon after he was granted 'interim relief' in his appeal to an eight-week suspension.
Carr was suspensed for criticising a referee after his team's National League defeat by Fermanagh in April, and had his appeal to the Central Appeals Committee (CAC) rejected on Thursday night.
However as the Down boss awaits a Disputes Resolution Authority hearing, he has been given 'interim relief' which will allow him watch today's Down v Tyrone Ulster SFC clash from the sidelines.
Meanwhile, Down assistant manager DJ Kane is banned from the Healy Park sidelines as the ban he is currently serving does not run out until Tuesday.
A capacity crowd is expected in Omagh for the quarter-final meeting of Down and Tyrone, who won last year's Anglo Celt Cup. Throw-in is at 3.45pm.
