Brogan may mount fresh suspension appeal

Dublin's Bernard Brogan is expected to join five Meath players in mounting fresh appeals against the suspensions handed down as a result of last month's violent scenes at Parnell Park.

Meath's Nigel Crawford, Seamus Kenny, Brendan Murphy, Niall McKeigue and Shane McAnarney all had their eight-week bans upheld after a hearing earlier this week.

They are now planning to take their cases to the Central Appeals Committee in a bid to avoid missing the county's championship clashes with Carlow and Wexford.

Brogan is also believed to be considering an appeal to the CAC after having his ban upheld last weekend along with three other Dublin players.
