Meath players to learn outcome of Parnell Park appeals

Five Meath players involved in the recent violent clashes at Parnell Park are due to find out today if their appeals against suspension have been upheld.

Brendan Murphy, Shane McAnarney, Seamus Kenny, Niall McKeigue and Nigel Crawford all made their cases last night to the GAA's Central Hearings Committee.

They were among eight Meath players suspended for up to two months as a result of the violence that broke out in the league match against Dublin.

Eight Dublin players were also suspended and four of them failed to have their bans overturned during appeals to the Central Hearings Committee.
