Dublin captain Alan Brogan sees the suspension of his team mates as an opportunity for fringe players to stake a claim in the Dublin first 15 that face Louth in their opening Leinster Championship tie in June.

The two-time All-Star is hoping that the strength in the Dublin reserve may be drawn upon while waiting for the player suspensions to be seen out and that the younger lads that come in can rise to the occasion.

The St Oliver Plunkett's clubman will be trying to keep his team on a tight leash in the championship, in a bid to ensure that a repeat of the fracas that marred the league encounter between the Dubs and the Royal County does not manifest itself again.
