Whelan decides not to appeal eight-week suspension

Dublin midfielder Ciaran Whelan has decided not to appeal his suspension following his role in the violence that marred the clash between Dublin and Meath at Parnell Park last Sunday.

Whelan was one of 29 players involved in the row and was sent off for lashing out at Meath back Seamus Kenny shortly after.
