GAA considers playing NFL final on Saturday night

The GAA is considering playing the National Football League final on a Saturday night for the first time.

Kerry are set to face Derry on April 27th, but to avoid clashing with Munster's Heineken Cup semi-final against Saracens, the Central Competitions Controls Committee is believed to be considering alternative options.

The GAA is anxious to avoid a repeat of two years ago when a record-low attendance of just 7,000 watched the Football League final meeting of Kerry and Galway on the evening of the Munster-Leinster Heineken Cup semi-final.
