Dublin stats man Ray Boyne has been handed a 16-week suspension by the Central Competitions Control Committee of the GAA following his alleged head-butt on Monaghan's Tommy Freeman.

Dublin stats man Ray Boyne has been handed a 16-week suspension by the Central Competitions Control Committee of the GAA following his alleged head-butt on Monaghan's Tommy Freeman.

The incident happened at the end of Monaghan's drawn game with the Dubs on March 23rd.

Boyne has since travelled to Monaghan to apologise to Freeman and has, according to CCCC chairman Jimmy Dunne, admitted his guilt and accepted his ban.
