McManus blames 'yobs' for Roscommon exits

Eamon McManus has branded the departure of John Maughan as Roscommon football manager as a victory for the "yobs".

McManus and Gerry Fitzmaurice, who had been selectors with John Maughan, also stepped down from their positions last night following a string of poor results.

The county board said it accepted the resignations with regret and also condemned the abuse the management team had been subjected to recently.

Speaking this morning, McManus said the management team had been forced out by "yobs".
