Peadar Gardiner will sit out the remainder of Mayo's National Football League games after breaking his jaw in a club match.

Gardiner, who is Mayo's vice-captain, sustained the injury after an accidental clash with Knockmore's John Brogan during a senior league match between Crossmolina and Knockmore.
