Tipperary take league honours over Limerick
Tipperary 2-20 Limerick 2-9, Thurles
There was no repeat of last summer's saga in Thurles as Tipperary took league honours over Limerick.
The Shannonsiders fielded a largely experimental side and Eoin Kelly went to town, scoring 1-12.
Limerick goalkeeper Dave Bulfin deflected a Kelly penalty over the crossbar and also denied Lar Corbett on four occasions.
Kelly's 26th-minute goal helped his side to a 1-10 to 0-6 half-time lead.
Two quick goals from Andrew O'Shaughnessy, the first from a penalty, cut the gap to seven points before Seamus Callinan bagged Tipp's second major.
