Walsh Cup champions Antrim were brought down to earth at Parnell Park by a Stuart Mullen-inspired Dublin.

Mullen struck 0-12 as the Dubs began the National League on a winning note.

The hosts built a 0-10 to 0-5 lead with Joey Boland, Mullen and Kevin Flynn all on target.

Liam Watson and Paddy McGill kept Antrim in touch as they trailed by 0-12 to 0-7 at half-time.

Both sides pressed for a goal but Ryan McGarry saved from David 'Dotsy' O'Callaghan, while Dublin 'keeper Gary Maguire kept the Saffrons out.
