McCarthy appeals for breakthrough in Cork dispute

Former Cork senior hurler and current Waterford manager Justin McCarthy is hoping there will finally be a breakthrough this evening to the ongoing players strike in Cork.

Amid reports that a resolution is set to be debated by both sides tonight, the Leeside native was optimistic the Rebels would not be expelled from the leagues and Championship this season when he appeared with the Allianze National League trophy at the competition's formal launch in Dublin today.
