Wicklow into second round of Kehoe Cup

John Mitchell's Wicklow hurlers held out for a 1-16 to 2-9 Kehoe Cup first round win over Carlow in blustery conditions at Bray this afternoon.

It was a closely contested opening half with no more than three points separating the sides at any one time. Fintan Donnelly, Shane McGrath and Eoin Mason performed strongly for the hosts.
