Four-week bans proposed for Moorefield players

The Leinster Council has proposed four-week bans on Moorefield players James Lonergan and Kevin Murnaghan following their clash with Dromard in Newbridge nine days ago.

Moorefield will also be forced to play their remaining games in the championship away from home.

This means next Sunday's semi-final against Tyrrellspass will be played in Mullingar and, if they reach the Leinster final, their meeting with St Vincent's will be at Parnell Park.

The Leinster Competitions Control Committee has also asked Moorefield to identify a substitute who appeared to contribute to a melee in the course of the same game.
