There was controversy in Newbridge yesterday as the referee decided to play extra-time when Moorefield and Dromard finished level in the Leinster football quarter-finals.

The two sides also finished tied on 1-12 apiece after added time.

Elsewhere, St Vincents and Seneschalstown also played out a draw at Parnell Park without any extra-time, while Portlaoise and Tyrellspass were victorious in the other quarter-final ties.

In Munster, Nemo Rangers reached the semi-finals with a win over Moyle Rovers, while Kilcummin defeated Lisseycasey.

In Connacht, St Brigid's and Ballina Stephenites will contest the provincial final after beating Killererin and Tourlestrane respectively, while in Ulster, Dromore beat Mayobridge in their quarter-final replay.

In hurling, meanwhile, Ballyboden St Enda's won their Leinster quarter-final clash with Oulart The Ballagh.
