Ulster hurling side dominated by Antrim players

There are seven players from Antrim in the selected Ulster team for tomorrow's M Donnelly Interprovincial hurling semi-final against Connacht at Ballybofey, throw-in 6pm.

The Saffrons contingent includes team captain Sean Delargy, Michael McCambridge, Aaron Graffin, Karl McKeegan, Neil McManus, Michael Herron and Kieran Kelly.

Ulster bosses Terence McNaughton and Dominic McKinley have handed Interpro debuts to Donegal duo Danny Cullen and Jamesie Donnelly, as well as Armagh's Declan Coulter and Kevin McGarry from Fermanagh.

The northern province, who have never won the Interpro title, will have to do without players from the Dunloy and Ballycran clubs due to Sunday's Ulster club championship semi-final replay.

Apart from the Antrim players, the Ulster team is made up of two players from Down, cousins Graham and Gabriel Clarke, two from Donegal, two from Armagh, one from Fermanagh and one from Tyrone, while Derry's Kevin and Liam Hinphey are unavailable.

An understrength Ulster side lost 2-19 to 0-12 to Leinster at Parnell Park in last year's Interpro semi-finals. Only four Antrim players started for Ulster in that game, with Glensman Johnny McIntosh scoring 0-10 (0-5f).
