Kerry unchanged for All-Ireland showdown with Cork

Kerry manager Pat O'Shea has named an unchanged team for Sunday's All-Ireland SFC final clash with Cork at Croke Park (throw-in 3.30pm).

O'Shea has given a vote of confidence to the Kerry side that defeated Dublin in last month's semi-final as the Kingdom bid to become the first county since since Cork in 1990 to retain the All-Ireland SFC title - a win on Sunday would see them lift the Sam Maguire Cup for a 35th time.

Midfielder Darragh O Se, who is hoping to win his fifth final, is fit to start for the defending champions after overcoming a hip injury.

There are positional switches in attack with half-forwards Declan O'Sullivan, the team captain, now positioned at centre forward and Paul Galvin and Eoin Brosnan given the right and left wing berths respectively.

Padraig Reidy, Killian Young, Seamus Scanlon and Bryan Sheehan will all be starting an All-Ireland final for the first time.

This weekend's game marks the 13th championship meeting between the counties this decade and the fifth since the start of last year's campaign. They met three times last year with the score standing at 1-1 with one draw, while Kerry beat Cork by two points in this year's Munster final.

Cork, meanwhile, have delayed naming their starting line-up with manager Billy Morgan giving key defender Anthony Lynch some extra time to recover from a broken bone in his hand.

KERRY (SFC v Cork) - D Murphy; M O Se, T O'Sullivan, P Reidy; T O Se, A O'Mahony, K Young; D O Se, S Scanlon; P Galvin, Declan O'Sullivan (capt), E Brosnan; C Cooper, K Donaghy, B Sheehan.
