Bennis happy with Limerick's preparation
Manager Richie Bennis is happy that his players are fully focused on the job facing them when they tackle Kilkenny in the Guinness All-Ireland SHC final this Sunday, throw-in at 3.30pm.
Mark Foley is the only survivor on the starting XV from the Limerick side that lost to Wexford in their last All-Ireland SHC final appearance in 1996. Barry Foley, who also featured in the 1996 final, starts on the bench.
Limerick manager Richie Bennis, who played in the Limerick side that prospered over Kilkenny in 1973, says this time the players are tuned in to the assignment in hand.
On-field Limerick captain Damian Reale has had a mixed season so far between red cards and injury but the Hospital-Herbertstown clubman says there's no question of him or his fellow team mates being overawed by the occasion.
