Sherlock returns to Dublin side
1995 All-Ireland winning hero Jason Sherlock will start his first competitive match of the year on Sunday when Dublin take on Laois in the Leinster SFC final (Croke Park, throw-in 4.15pm).
Dublin manager Paul Caffrey has made one change to his team for the provincial decider, with the 31-year-old Sherlock returning after fully recovering from the wrist injury which saw him benched for the recent wins over Meath and Offaly.
Sherlock's inclusion at right corner forward sees Mossie Quinn make way and Alan Brogan move to centre-forward with Mark Vaughan now positioned at left corner forward.
Team captain Colin Moran has also switched positions with Bernard Brogan in the half-forwards, while Conal Keaney, the Dubs' top scorer in the championship with 0-12, is stationed at full-forward.
Sunday's clash is Dublin's second Leinster final meeting with Laois in three seasons. Caffrey's defending champions are seeking a three in a row of provincial titles and the capital's 47th Leinster success in all.
With his team on the brink of history this weekend, Moran said: "Winning on Sunday would mean a huge amount to everyone in the Dublin squad. Three in a row would be a small bit of history for us - that's what we're focusing on at the moment."
