Cork's appeal against the bans given to three of their players for their involvement in the pre-match brawl which marred their recent Munster SHC clash with Clare was rejected by the GAA's Central Appeals Committee (CAC) last night.

Dónal Óg Cusack, Diarmuid O'Sullivan and Sean Óg O hAilpín, who were flown by helicopter to last night's CAC meeting in Portlaoise, failed to have their four-week suspensions overturned.
