Limerick call on goal hero Tobin

Pat Tobin, Limerick's goal-scoring hero in last weekend's drawn game, has been promoted to the Shannonsiders' starting team for Saturday's Munster SHC semi-final replay against Tipperary (Semple Stadium, throw-in 7pm).

Limerick boss Richie Bennis has made one enforced change to his side, with Sean O'Connor ruled out due to the groin injury he sustained in the 1-19 to 1-19 draw.

Tobin, who was sprung from the bench to replace O'Connor during the first half of the Gaelic Grounds encounter, will start this time around at right corner forward. Andrew O'Shaughnessy moves to full-forward to accommodate the switch.

Murroe/Boher clubman Tobin tallied up 1-1 last Sunday including a late, levelling goal.

Brian Geary has been passed fit to start again at centre-back after his recovery from a thigh strain, while Limerick captain Damien Reale is also eligible to start at full-back, given that his dismissal last Sunday consisted of two yellow cards and not a straight red.

Limerick will be once again hunting for their first Munster championship win since 2001 - the past six summers have seen the Shannonsiders lose six Munster SHC games and draw three.
