Mayo will be without goalkeeper Kenneth O'Malley for Sunday's NFL Division 1A meeting with Tyrone (Healy Park, Omagh, throw-in 3.30pm).

O'Malley dislocated his thumb when he tipped a shot from Bernard Brogan over the bar during last weekend's 0-10 to 0-9 win for Mayo over Dublin, which saw the westerners qualify for the league's semi-finals a round early.

The Ballinrobe stopper is set to be sidelined for eight weeks and as well as the trip to Tyrone, he will miss Saturday's crunch Connacht Under-21 final against Roscommon.

The experienced David Clarke, who stepped in for O'Malley against Dublin, is likely to be called upon to don Mayo's number 1 jersey on Sunday. He was between the posts for last year's All-Ireland SFC final against Kerry.

Midfielder David Brady is also expected to miss the tie with Tyrone after he injured his thigh muscle in training last Saturday. The Ballina player had just recovered from a calf strain and will hope to recover in time for the league's knock-out stages.
