Limerick win but face relegation play-offs

Limerick 4-17 Antrim 0-13

Limerick were comprehensive winners over Antrim at the Gaelic Grounds but Richie Bennis' men still face a fight to save their top-flight status.

Tipperary's demolition of Dublin means Limerick, who finished fifth in Division 1B, have to play-off against Offaly with the winners playing the Division Two champions for the right to be in Division One next year.

Limerick had a 3-9 to 0-4 interval lead against bottom side Antrim, thanks to goals from Sean O'Connor (9 and 18 minutes) and Barry Foley (34).

Full-forward O'Connor grabbed his third goal. Johnny McIntosh, Paddy Richmond and Karl McKeegan led Antrim's scoring.
