Heaney and Kilcoyne to start for Mayo this weekend

David Heaney and Aidan Kilcoyne have won recalls to the Mayo team for Saturday's NFL Division 1A trip to Cork at Páirc Uí Rinn (throw-in 7.30pm).

Mayo manager John O'Mahony has made two changes in personnel as his side gun for their fourth win in five league games.

Heaney, who was dropped for Mayo's league clash with Limerick last month, returns at midfield.

The westerners' 2006 captain, who was regularly deployed as a defender last year, steps in to partner Pat Harte in centre-field as O'Mahony is without the services of Ronan McGarrity (ill) and David Brady (calf).

Trevor Mortimer has a foot injury and his place at centre forward has gone to Kilcoyne. Current skipper Kevin O'Neill (hamstring) misses out again due to a hamstring injury.

James Nallen, who lined out at midfield in the 0-12 to 1-7 defeat of Fermanagh last time out, drops to the bench with Billy Joe Padden positioned at centre back once again.

MAYO (NFL v Cork) - K O_Malley; L O_Malley, J Kilcullen, K Higgins; E Devenney, BJ Padden, P Gardiner; P Harte, D Heaney; A Campbell, A Kilcoyne, G Brady; C Mortimer, A Dillon, A Moran.
