Having played there during last month's Waterford Crystal Cup, Stephen Lucey will continue to man the full-back role for Limerick's hurlers as they get their National League campaign up and running against Tipperary on Sunday (Nenagh, throw-in 2.30pm).
Former dual star Lucey, who has played in defence, midfield and attack for the county side, will be flanked by Willie Walsh and Damien Reale for the clash with Tipp.
With Bruree clubman James O'Brien missing out, corner back Reale of Hospital-Herbertstown will captain the Shannonsiders.
Richie Bennis' side will be spined by Brian Geary, at centre-back, and centre forward Ollie Moran this weekend.
Bennis will have to do without Brian Begley for a considerable period of time - the powerful Mungret attacker is nursing a thigh injury and is not expected to return until late March and the Division 1B encounter with Dublin.
Coupled with the injury, Begley won a Wedding Fair competition before Christmas and has brought the date of his wedding forward.
The Limerick injury list also includes Mark Keane, Pat Tobin, Seamus Hickey and Conor Fitzgerald.
