Peter Ford is expected to hold onto his position as Galway senior football manager at a meeting of the Galway County Board in Tuam.

There was intense speculation that the Mayo man, who was initially appointed to the Galway hotseat in October 2004, would be axed after a disappointing season but he seems set to be handed a third year at the helm.
