Crozier set for second year with Derry
Tyrone man Paddy Crozier has held onto his position as manager of the Derry senior footballers, it has been confirmed.
Crozier, who took over from Mickey Moran last October, was handed a three-year term last year but he still needs to be ratified by the Derry County Board on a yearly basis.
He actually handed in his resignation during his first season as a means of protesting against the GAC's scheduling of club fixtures just a couple of weeks before the Oak Leafers' championship clash with Tyrone.
Derry reached the third round of the All-Ireland qualifiers this summer before losing to Longford. Their 1-8 to 0-5 win over Tyrone in May was the highlight of Crozier's first season.
His backroom team of Liam Bradley, Bernie Henry, James McAfee and Martin Heaney has agreed to stay on for 2007.
Crozier, who will hold player trials over the next few weeks, is targeting a top four finish in the National League.
