Cork make one change for camogie final
The Cork management have finalised their team for Sunday's Gala All-Ireland Senior Camogie final against Tipperary (Croke Park, throw-in 3.30pm).
The reigning champions have made one change to the side that beat Galway 1-7 to 0-6 in last month's semi-final - Elaine Burke, who captained Cork to All-Ireland glory last September, takes the place of Orla Cotter at left corner forward.
Cotter started at midfield last time out, but Briege Corkery, one of four Cork players gunning for a unique "double double", has been listed as Gemma O'Connor's centre-field partner for the weekend's clash.
Dual players Rena Buckley, Angela Walsh, Mary O'Connor and Corkery all claimed All-Ireland winners' medals in camogie and ladies football last season, and are in line to repeat that feat over the next three-and-a-half weeks.
The quartet are also in the Cork football panel that has won through to the All-Ireland final, with either Galway or Armagh to be their opponents on October 1.
Caitriona Foley and Elaine O'Riordan are also chasing their first All-Ireland double. Rockbawn defender Foley had been a fitness doubt for Sunday, but has recovered from injury to start at full-back.
Rosarie Holland, Vivienne Harris and former skipper Stephanie Dunlea have gone from last year's victorious Cork team.
The current Cork side contains all six of their 2005 All-Stars - Mary O'Connor, Anna Geary, Gemma O'Connor, Rachel Moloney, Jennifer O'Leary and Emer Dillon.
CORK (Senior Camogie v Tipperary) - Aoife Murray; Joanne O'Callaghan (capt), Caitriona Foley, Amanda O'Regan; Rena Buckley, Mary O'Connor, Anna Geary; Gemma O'Connor, Briege Corkery; Rachel Moloney, Angela Walsh, Jennifer O'Leary; Emer Dillon, Una O'Donoghue, Elaine Burke.
