Morgan's sideline ban to stand
Cork manager Billy Morgan will be banished to the stands for his side's All-Ireland SFC semi-final clash with Kerry on Sunday.
The Nemo Rangers clubman will not be permitted to patrol the white line at Croke Park due to his incursions onto the pitch during Cork's one-point quarter-final win over Donegal on August 5.
Morgan attended a meeting of the GAA's Central Disciplinary Committee last night where it was "confirmed that a one-game pitch exclusion ban imposed at an earlier meeting will stand".
The roles of the Cork team selectors - John Corcoran, Teddy Owens, Jim Nolan and Ger O'Sullivan - will now be increased as the Rebels bid to beat their arch-rivals for the second time in the space of five weeks.
