Brian Mallon will have to be content with a place on the substitutes bench for Armagh's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Kerry on Saturday (Croke Park, throw-in 2pm).

The Tir Na nÓg attacker has recovered from the ankle injury which saw him sit out the Ulster final win over Donegal. However, John McEntee has held onto the centre forward slot.

McEntee's twin brother Tony is the only player unavailable to manager Joe Kernan due to on-going ankle problem.

Malachy Mackin and Martin O'Rourke retain their wing forward berths despite being the only starting forwards to not score in the Ulster final.

Saturday's clash is a repeat of the 2002 All-Ireland final which Armagh won by 1-12 to 0-14. The Orchard men have won three, drawn one and lost one of their five All-Ireland quarter-finals to date.

Oisin McConville, now the highest scorer in Ulster championship history with 10-190 (220 points), has led the Armagh scoring stats so far this summer with 0-19.
