Donegal progress after a scrappy affair in Enniskillen
Donegal will play Cork in the All Ireland Football quarter-finals next weekend.
That’s after the Donegal men defeated Fermanagh by 0-11 to 0-08 in Enniskillen this afternoon in a close but lacklustre game.
Fermanagh had led at half-time by 0-05 to 0-03 although their momentum was halted by the injury sustained by Eamonn Maguire after a high challenge by Donegal’s Ciaran Bonner.
Maguire was substituted after a five minute delay and then taken to hospital.
He had scored two of the Erne County’s five first half points.
After the break Donegal took control of the game, points from Thompson, Toye and Sweeney putting them back in the game, and once they were in front their position was never in doubt.
