Meath outpower Roscommon
MEATH 1-19 ROSCOMMON 0-09
Meath broke clear of Roscommon in the second half and never looked back at Navan's Pairc Tailteann.
A goal from corner back Caoimhin King, who profited from a one-two with Graham Geraghty, sent the Royals in at the break with a slender 1-07 to 0-06 buffer.
The second half really showcased the gulf in class as Daithi Regan and Joe Sheridan (0-05 each) scored at will. Wing forward Peter Curran (0-03 (2f)) was also in impressive form.
The Rossies, who hit nine wides, were poorly served as only Seamus O'Neill and Cathal Cregg (0-03 each) pointed from play.
